So a couple weeks back, I was working on my laptop computer as usual and suddenly windows stated shutting down and shut down upon it' s own. Then when I switch on the laptop, it is requesting bit locker recovery key. It is an used office laptop I' ve been using for almost 2 years now. I had developed no idea that blocker was enabled the whole time. The laptop never ever mentioned BitLocker for anything.
There are important files inside and can discover no way to get the key. My IT department doesn' t have information of who had the laptop computer before me and I have absolutely nothing on my Microsoft account.
I actually tried with local data recuperation people as Microsoft support suggested and no luck so far. Before I give up, I wanted to ask you guys if there is a way to extract the important thing from the laptop or some way to recuperate at least some of my data.
The particular laptop is a lenovo thinkpad. It was been having speaker issues recently, I have not changed any configurations nor insert any new USB Drive or anything. It was operating and abruptly shit down plus bitlocker got triggered.
Is there a way to figure out what change has induced bitlocker?
Any advice will be valued.
