Can accidentally plugging power to factory jumpers damage a hard drive?

Hi all, I need some help! My harddrive is not working at all after setting up a new power supply to my desktop PC today. I accidentally plugged power to factory jumper pins on my WD Caviar Black 1TB (WD1002faex) harddrive. Then I corrected the connections. But now the wheel is not spinning at all, and I don't hear any ticks. Boot and bios menus don't see it either. I tried plugging another HDD and it works well however. When I detach the PCB from the drive and plug it correctly, only at the controller chip there is some heat. So I was suspecting if I might have burned something when I plugged power to factory setting pins accidentally. I hope some of you can find time to help me out! Cheers!
