changed my iphone password but it crashed when confirming now neither codes work and I cant lose my data is there anyway to save it?

mostly worried about my messages. itunes wont let me backup because i have to unlock it. pretty sure icloud synch is on but the backup isnt upated PLEASE HELP ME IM DEVISTATED 🙁
