Hi all! The s/o recently grabbed a well used desktop tower from the girl step dad, it has the majority of her child hood photos on it and I would like as well copy said photos in the most efficient way.
The old tower is a core 2 duo with 2x1gb sticks of Ram and the like, not a great way to compute. I would like to bypass using that tower altogether and just place its hdd directly into my existing pc? I have one hdd in use within my pc already.
My question is, may i simply plug any old hard drive into my pc and boot it up as normal and see the new storage device in the files?
My current pc is definitely windows 10, photos take windows xp machine, just unsure if there would be any compatibly issues I may run into?
