I’m poor, broke as a stone and then the “data error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)” message appeared…

I'm in a very, very difficult situation…

1-2 years ago I bought an external HD, Seagate 1 TB, model SRD0NF1. The baby worked perfectly since the purchase's day, it never gave me a problem or anything like that. In it I stored very important things like family photos from 20 years ago, all the videos and photos from cell phones that I have had in the last ten years, as well class recordings from my college and other files of extreme importance to me.

My whole life is in this External HD …

The headache is that I recently realized that the blue light of the device was off, I went to check if the computer recognized it despite this, and for my misfortune, it did'nt …

After a bit of research on google and youtube I discovered that the computer's Disk Management knows that there's a device plugged in, that's a 1TB drive. The down side is 4 informations accompanying those first:

-Disk 1 -Unknown -Not Initialized -Unallocated

I tried to click with the right button and initialize the disc manually and I heard the devil's laugh with this error massage appearing before my very eyes:

"data error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)"

I tried every thing I could, I spent the last 6 hours on forums and youtube, looking for a way to get my files back, one that does'nt involve formating because I need to me get back any data I can save, neither one that asked me to spend money cause I dont have any to spend…

Found myself in the last hours in very strange websites requiring me to install suspicious programs that I researched and found nothing good about (it seems that most are scam, promises that do not deliver).

Unemployed and broke as sh**, I have no money to pay for an expert to resolve that for me. I really want my data back, I'm not even concerned with the device it self, I just want my old photos.

So, for the good-kinded reddit's gods who could help me out in this one, that could show me a way out of this hole, I would be extremely grateful for the rescue…
