Hi,
I have a typical issue – encrypted hdd and accidentally clicked quick format
Veracrypt recognises my passwords, says to restore volume header… when I try to restore volume header it says 'write protected'.
I came across this video on youtube and it seems to address this exact situation,

Does anyone have experience with this and while its not a cmd in current iterations of windows, if it works I am happy to buy an old pc or whatever needs to be done to be able to unformat this drive
Thanks in advance for any advice – I have been exhuasted trying to sort this out
