I've run ddrescue on this HFS-formatted (Seagate) drive (now 99.99% recovered) but I can see a lot of damage at the front: https://imgur.com/a/4SOK2zv
Is there a preferred tool should I try to use to safely try to view the contents of the drive? It's tempting to just plug the clone into my friend's mac but I've seen warnings against this here.
I own a DMDE license (purchased for a different situation) but not sure if this is the right tool to proceed. I saw a couple of suggestions in the flowchart, but I guess I'm confused whether I can use these under Windows/Linux to recover from a HFS-formatted drive.
Thanks in advance!
